Mt. Vernon Research Trip

September found us in Virginia with some totally tubular friends, Dave and Randi Powell. Our motive was to do research on Mt. Vernon (George Washington's home) for a project Dave and Eric are hoping to tackle soon ... which is ... drum roll ... building a Mt. Vernon replica in Utah! We anticipate the exterior looking just like Mt. Vernon, but the interior will be more modern and a great place for Eric to have his corporate offices, a gallery, and a gift shop (location TBD). Dave and Randi are the Daddy Warbucks of the project and we're so excited to work with them to bring this dream -- one that Eric's has grown for over 20 years -- to fruition.

We had a fabulous time touring and documenting Washington's plantation. We also spent some time in D.C., Arlington, and historic Victoria. The places we visited were wonderful as always, but the company was far more awe-inspiring ... gripping ... exhilarating ... than any tourist attraction could be!

Watching Dave and Eric banter throughout the trip was like attending a four-day comedy show ... both hilarious and exhausting! Randi, on the other side of the coin, was the epitome of graciousness and class.

Life would be so dull without the company of good friends.

We're not completely sure when our groundbreaking will take place, but we'll be sure to send out a big fat notice when we do.

That George Washington ... wasn't he a stud?
