Do you remember that yellow ball called the SUN?

SATURDAY

A sunny weekend didn't calculate the same for Mom and Dad as it did for our teenagers. We were so elated about the opportunity to be gifted a day for raking and tilling. They, on the other hand, were not so eager. After some gentle encouragement (okay, we forced them), they started to get into it and soon stood back to admire a job well done. We, as parents, believe that we have planted the "hard work" seed in our young ones that they will one day thank us for. Stay tuned for that day!

Raking the WHOLE YARD ... yes, we have an acre and most of it is grassed. Yahoo for parents ... boooo for kids.

We later tilled up the gardens and flower beds. It took most the day and we were exhausted! BUT ... we are so happy to have it done. Now it's time to plant! Buckle up kids.

SUNDAY

While Mom and Dad took a walk (one of our favorite things to do on a warm Sunday), the kids sun bathed on the trampoline. Cody LOVES his sister and actually chose to be with her instead of going on the walk. That is a true rarity!

This picture is for Ryan. I'll be showing him different seasons from the front door while he's gone on his mission. Here's EARLY SPRING. Soon the orchard will be bursting with pink blooms across the fence.      Stay tuned for the next season pic ...

Brother-sister hugs just wouldn't be brother-sister hugs if they didn't look awkward.

The wacky Dowdle gene-pool ... look out world. Here they come!

Oh!!! It's nice to be outside again!
