We planned our Valentine's getaway a few weeks after V-day and went to sunny St. George. Unfortunately, the rain and snow followed us and our home got some sun. Oh well. We had a great time and made lots of memories with Cody. We visited with Grandma and Grandpa Dowdle which was tons of fun. They came by the bed-n-breakfast the next morning and we had a nice meal before they left town for Vegas. It was great to see them again.
Cody was thrilled to get time with his Dad's parents. They have gobs of grandkids but he didn't have to share with ANYONE. Lucky.
Fruit bowl
Cody has his pencil at all times. It's his own little quirk. He spins it around and it helps him articulate what he wants to say or it seems to spur his imagination. Funny stuff.
Hot chocolate. Eat your fruit!
Family pose after a lovely breakfast
This is Ed. He's the owner of Green Gate Village in St. George. What a guy! He's so nice and always very accommodating. AND ... he makes breakfast himself.

Steep adorable stairwell. I love these old house that are so steep you MUST hold to the rail. They're so nostalgic.
Lots of driving. Yummy chocolate eyes ... gimme!
Perched on a scary rock, I get my pic taken. But of course you can't see the rock ... oh well
There isn't a hike that doesn't involve Eric finding the perfect rock for some push ups.
Look we're ice skating! It was Cody's first time and he was so excited to be in the "Olympics". He asked on the way to the rink if we needed to tell the people we were from "Nited States".
Cody and Dad finish up. Cody was ready for more. Mom and Dad were done.
